Coolest spot to live in mazunte! Just a bunch of friends running a little hostel close to the beach. I really enjoyed my stay there. No air con but 5 stars anyway
Rihad, the host/manager/owner, recently took over the place, and I don't know how it was before, but it has been a great place for me to stay. I kept on extending because I enjoyed my room with balcony (including hammock) on the upper floor a lot. It's a clean place, next to the beach, with kind and helpful people working there. Rihad himself is also very kind, and if you get to talk a bit with him he might give you some discount on the room as well ;)
We had a bedroom with a shared bathroom on the 3rd floor. We came for 2 days and ended up staying for 6 nights. Really enjoyed my time in Mazunte at La Playa. Our bed was comfortable, since we were on the 3rd floor, we had wind getting through since rooms have double windows. Sara and all the staff were very sweet and we could ask for anything. Next to the beach, local restaurants and shops. Small thing was the internet, wasn't good :/ and expect lot of sand even if they clean everyday. It's next to the beach, normal to expect.
Lovely little place to get away from the rush. We had a lovely 3 nights here with beach views and cafes and restaurants super close
I stayed a few nights in a private room with bathroom. Cheapest rate is on booking.com, cheaper than dealing direct. Rooms are clean, courtyard with hammocks. Downfall is there is no fridge or kitchen to cook your own meals.
Excellent service. They did their best to accommodate my needs! Place is in a good location. Can get hot, so beware if you don't handle heat well, try to get room with good ventilation or on the ground floor.
this place is just the best. The people make it the best as well as the location. The rooms aren’t too fanciest, though it was quiet and much quieter than places that were a lot more expensive and every morning I woke up to the sunrise over the water and in two minutes I could be from my room to the beach.to say that the people here are great is an understatement. There’s nowhere I could recommend higher.
